Ski Chilean Volcanoes!

September 15-26, 2018

 With an option to join for just the first half. (September 15- September 22)

This is a road-trip ski adventure. The entire team will show up confident in preparation, gear, and the fact that we will ski a ton of amazing terrain. We’re keeping the exact agenda “fast and loose” to allow for conditions adaptation. For instance, in the event of a drier snow year we will want to spend more of our time further south. The agenda is flexible, but the main “bones” of the trip (start and end dates, arrival/departure airport, the fact that we will ski a bunch of sweet peaks!) won’t change. 
Jed Porter, Janelle Smiley, and Mark Smiley are working together, on this trip and many others, to create unique, adventure skiing itineraries executed in style. You know us, whether personally or through our past adventures. Now join us in Chile!

Sample Agenda:
  1. September 22. Travel to Santiago. 
  2. Meet up in Santiago. Exit Santiago. 
  3. Ski tour near Santiago. Cerro Pintor or Cajon Del Maipo. 
  4. Drive to Chillan. 6 hours. Waterfalls and wine along the way.
  5. Light to mid-sized ski day near Chillan
  6. Main event number one. Volcano Chillan.
  7. Rest and drive and send home, from Concepcion airport, those that can only do the first half. Drive Chillan to Pucon.
  8. Hike to hut on Lanin. (if only participating the first half, fly home from Santiago this day. October 6)
  9. Bonus ski day.
  10. Summit Lanin. 
  11. Exit Lanin. 
  12. drive Pucon to Osorno. Fly Osorno to Santiago.
  13. October 3. Travel home from Santiago.
