It would be wicked tight for two people. Recent tenants were a couple and lived there, happily and successfully, together. But they had very few possessions.
Our ideal candidate works in the local Teton Valley or greater Teton region workforce
6 month initial lease. Option to extend, if it is working for everyone. All tenants in recent years have chosen to extend past their first six months.
$1000 for one person. Move in requires first, last, deposit. Deposit $500.
Some of the above is negotiable. A tenant in this space will be living immediately adjacent to us. We want it to be an awesome experience for all involved. It is also important to us that this space serves to address a significant lack of local workforce housing.
Non-negotiable criteria include no pets and no smoking.
About us, to “set the scene”: Landlords live on premises in the main house. Rosie works for herself, from home and cares, closely and lovingly, for our daughter. Jed is a mountain guide and freelance writer. Our daughter Charlie is nearly 3 years old. Jed works in the field locally and further afield, with some at-home work occasionally. We have one other rental property in Teton Valley. We travel together, as a family, quite often as well. We aren’t professional property managers. We are working-class and hustling to make a living in this beautiful, exciting place. As such, we can work directly with you on any concerns or needs you have with the apartment, but we will also present delays in correspondence and at-times clumsy landlord-ship. Thanks in advance for understanding and thanks in advance for working with us in a friendly, professional, flexible fashion. Our ideal tenant(s) here is a self-reliant, committed resident working and playing locally.
If you’ve gotten this far and it seems as though this place could be a good fit for you, drop us an email cc’ing both Rosie and I. jediahmporter at gmail and rdelise at gmail. We can address further questions, if any, via email. When you are ready to apply, we’ll get you a link to a Zillow background check. You’ll pay a $35 application fee at that point. We hope to get very close to a final decision before asking you to pay for the background check. i.e. We won’t immediately ask multiple applicants to pay for the background check and we’ll work first to make sure that everything else seems in order for us to have you live in this space.
